Dr. Sharon Denise Allison-Ottey is an energetic and engaging speaker, author, health educator/physician, and health strategist/consultant. She is the CEO of CARLDEN Inc. and Beautiful Woman Inside and Out, Inc., and serves as the Executive Director of The COSHAR Healthy Communities Foundation. With a national reach, her companies provide products, services, and events that impact millions. Dr. Allison-Ottey is a media personality in television, social media, radio, and print, and is considered one of the nation’s most influential physicians and health advocates. She develops and oversees programmatic agendas for several national organizations, ensuring their effectiveness and alignment with health equity goals.
Dr. Allison-Ottey completed her residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Union Memorial Hospital. She holds a medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine and dual degrees in Biology and Chemistry from North Carolina Central University. A recognized expert in public health policy, health disparities, and cultural competency, she is a consultant for Fortune 500 companies and an advisor on clinical trials involving minority populations and women. She is actively involved in numerous medical and civic organizations and has received many prestigious awards for her contributions to healthcare, health equity, and public health.
Deanna Darlington is an advocacy relations professional with more than 30 years of experience in government and external affairs, patient advocacy, policy, reimbursement consulting, and other related fields. She specializes in engaging patient advocacy organizations on access and policy issues, including a focus on health disparities for vulnerable patient populations. Deanna works closely with advocates on key policy issues that support dialogue and engagement to patient access to quality care and value. After a distinguised13-year tenure at Amgen Inc., Deanna retired and founded Links2Equity in 2021, with the goal of serving patients and other healthcare stakeholders in all disease states and underrepresented communities such as Black, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, aging, rural, LBGTQ, and others.
Janelle Gore is an experienced public health professional with strong strategic partnership development and volunteer management within the Alzheimer’s disease field. Currently serving as a Clinical Research Project Manager at MapHabit, she guides research priorities to inform the progression of a technology platform designed to aid individuals with intellectual disabilities and Alzheimer’s and related dementias (ADRD) in their daily routines.
In her role as the Director of Community Engagement at Alter, Janelle has successfully established and cultivated strong partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies to disseminate health promotion resources, increasing community outreach efforts within 4 rural counties in Georgia.
